Sounds great! Even if it doesn't help, at least it can't hurt! I'm interested in hearing about it!

Thank you Mina for your interest.

My thery is to control the hand tremor.
By controlling the tremor you stop the progression of Parkinson's.
This will then enable you to lead a normal life.
You will need to exercise for up to, two hours per day without fail.
The exercicse routine can be carried out in your home without gym equipment.
As you stated "at least it can't hurt"
If you are still interested ???
I will need your basic particulars relating to Parkinson's and your eMail address.

Thanking you

Great to hear that exercise has had some positive benefits for you. There is some increasing research to support its value in managing the symptoms of Parkinson's. Unfortunately there is no current evidence to support that exercise can slow or stop the progression of Parkinson's, but the work is still being done.

John MacGregor,

I was dxd in July 2005 and while I agree exercise and a positive mental attitude certainly improves a PLWP's quality of life, I think your drawing a long bow and need to be careful assuming it will stop the neurological deterioration associated with the disease.

As you doubt my statements, I would be pleased to give you a letter of authority to my doctor who I beleive will verify my statements.

I don't doubt your sincerity, but Pd is a progressively degenerative illness that destroys the dopamine production in the substantia nigra. It is a necrophilic process, the dopamine producing cells die and the brain doesn't have the ability to regenerate them. That is why medical scientists are placing so much emphasis on stem cell research, in the hope that using that technology will give the brain the resources to heal itself.
Exercise is good and certainly helps to manage the effects of Pd, which psychologicaly might be just as good as reversing the deterioration, but there is no evidence that it stops the illnesses progress.
Whatever floats your boat has got to be good for you.

Snowywebb.
Thank you for your lesson on PD. My doctor I beleive is well aware of the current thery as I am, however theories are constandly being updated.
I have an appointment (6th Feb. 2012) to see the neurologist who first diaognised the PD in April 2008 and last saw me over two years ago when I commenced the exercise routine.
I will keep you posted.
