Post My best friends fight

I am not a person with Parkinson's,but my best friend is.I have spent the last mth raising awareness and money for her so she can have a dbs op in early feb.I just wanted to join your group so i could have a better understanding of Parkinson's.I want to be able to care and support my friend any way possible.I love her and am committed to fighting for her and the disease.

Greetings trinette, welcome to this forum.

You sound like you're on a mission to help your friend, a worthy cause, but you have told us very little about her, or why you've had to raise money in order for your friend to get the DBS op.

Without identifying her, what is her story?

Trinette, you are indeed a friend who everyone needs! We all need support from family and friends. As it's now mid Feb, how did the op go? Was it DBS? Do you live in Australia? Sorry for the questions, but know that there is lots of support here from other PLWP. Feel free to email me at
