Post What is it that you want?
on: October 24, 2011, 07:36

About a month ago I went to a YAP meeting in melbourne. At that meeting, there was a great discussion about advocacy and planning for future needs. The question was posed - as a group, what is it that you want? what do you need - tomorrow and in 5, 10, 20 years time.

Since that time, the website has fallen silent. Everyday I stop by, and see what is on the minds of PWP.

What is it that you want?

I could write here that I want someone to make me better, not having a good time at the moment, will enter a new post on that subject. Lets see I want a day with no pain,a day where when I go out I dont start to rock & roll,PD has changed so many things in my life but with the support of this group & local support group I know that I'm not alone.I sometimes ask myself how some of the younger PWP manage to look after kids, continue to work as I am lucky enough to have raised my family & if I dont want to do anything I dont have too. As a group the most important thing is that we continue to support each other because try as they might my husband ,family & friends can only observe what we allow them to see not what we feel.

Thanks Carol,
I have been blessed with good days and bad days at the moment too. it's very frustrating, and exhausting. There's 2 months until Christmas, and all the "I would like to do that by Christmas" plans I make are running behind already. I was quite distressed when the site fell silent, as I haven't felt this this stiff and sore before, and it has been quite isolating. You know, I don't want for much. I want to stay healthy long enough to see a cure.
